ipkg install mc

Hi all,

I have an issue installing Midnight Commander “mc” as per http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=5909

Everything works fine except when I try to install mc


Eg.

[admin@ASUS root]$ ipkg install mc

Nothing to be done
An error ocurred, return value: 4.
Collected errors:
Cannot find package mc.
Check the spelling or perhaps run 'ipkg update':confused:

I’ve done the update etc. but it appears that the mc isn’t available.

Can anyone point me in the direction of how or where to get mc from?

did not work for me but this

ipkg install http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/wl500g/cross/stable/mc_4.1.35-3_mipsel.ipk
worked fine

Hi,
I've tried to add the optware-oleg-cross-stable source to ipkg, but it doesn't work. I had to remove that packages and install standard versions :-(

Does anybody know why it doesn't work?

Neither uclibc-opt nor mc are no longer found in Oleg's ipkg-packages.
