Bekijk de volledige versie : Client side caching doesn't cache locally

I am using client side caching (offline files) to synchronize my data between my laptop and the router. When I am connected to the router's share and I create a new file, then it is actually being created on the router. Unfortunately, the client side cache isn't updated. So when I disconnect from the network the files aren't visible anymore. I need to reinitialize the client side cache (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=230738). This takes a lot of time (there is over 2GB in this folder).

Samba does provide client-side caching (CSC) functionality. The default policy is manual for a share, which should be fine. Does anyone else use CSC? I just can't get it to work and it pretty frustrating :(

PS: I am using EXT3 file system on my harddisk and the router uses firmware v1.9.2.7-7c
