Hey... I hvae a problem mit my FTP server on my computer.

I can without any problem gain access to my ftp server via LAN.

But when other people (Outside my router) Ex. my friends. Try to access my FTP server. They can not gain access?

I have disabled the router firewall. Both WAN to LAN and LAN to WAN.

I have set up an "Virtual server" With the following configuration:

Port range: 20:21
Local IP: 192.168.1.45 (Ip assigned by router)
Protocol: TCP

But it still does not work. Other people can still not access my FTP. (Im running bullet Proof FTP server, and as earlyer mentioned i can with no problem access it from my LAN ip: 192.168.1.45 or 127.0.0.1)

What can i do??

i have exactly the same problem!

i think there is a ftp server running on router itself, since it actually tries to connect and asks you for a password, but i don't know how to turn it off?!

if this is the case, can someone please tell me how to turn off the FTP server on the router itself?

note: i don't know anything about linux nor telnet so please be gentle on me:p

I think you can turn it off in the web interface
or go to modem with telnet or ssh
ps
look for process stupid-ftp
kill <process number>
