wl-100gD can dammage the notebook

Hi all I'm a little worryed because the wl-100gD gets verry hot when used in my laptop computer and I'm afraid not to damage my laptop because of the extra heat generated by this PC card. Can someone recommend another Brand of PC Card that won't get that hot and to have similar performance ?
