Longtime Asus fan, just now discovering that they made WIFI stuff. I have done a lot of work with linux on the linksys products, what is the possibility of installing one's own (OpenWRT or other) version of linux on the WL566gM?

I think it's better to ask this at the openwrt forums :)

anyway the WL566gM is powered by realtek mimo stuff not broadcom as almost all other 'wireless' devices by Asus
furthermore it's linux based as well

the WL500w is powered by Broadcom 802.11n draft stuff (broadcom inteNsify)
