Bekijk de volledige versie : System Command doesn't seem to do anything
First of all: Asus Firmware 1.7.6.7
While surfing on WL500g.info, I found some interesting stuff about higher poweroutput on the WL500gP: http://www.wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=6059
Since I could use more power because of thick walls and floors in my home, I would like to know at what power my WL500gP is transmitting.
In another topic I found this command:
and check it with:
wl txpwr1
This command is supposed to be executed in http://my.router/Main_AdmStatus_Content.asp#
So I entered that hidden page of my 500gP, I gave the command and pushed the [enter]-button on my keyboard. The page refreshes and shows the same page again with in the large 'window' just:
None
What's going wrong? Why don't I get any result? My PC is connected via cable ánd wifi
maybe try a newer firmware version
i have version 1.9.6.9 an it works
TxPower is 127 qdbm, 31.75 dbm, 1496 mW Override is Off
Thanx.
Is there a link to the firmware-file only? Asus offers a file with sourcecode; 140 MB!!! (I'm already downloading this huge file but don't know exactly what I'm downloading; if it's only the source code, I don't know what to do with it)
I put it on my own site, get it here (7Mb) : http://www.citadel.nu/WL500gp_1969_TW.zip
In order to effectuate the WL command, you need to click on refresh, not <enter>!

Thanks but the link doesn't work; it redirects me to http://www.vuurwerk.nl/index.php?sitemap
But you're right about the <enter>-<refresh> issue. Refresh does give a result.
Funny thing is that mine says (after entering wl txpwr1):
TxPower is 127 qdbm, 31.75 dbm, 1496 mW Override is Off
I didn't do anything (except pressing <enter> instead of <refresh> but that didn't do anything and I certainly didn't change the countrysettings or powersettings. I'm in the Netherlands btw. Also I'm trying to find out what the legal max power settings are)
The poweroutput seems already to have reached the maximum. Any more and the modem will take off...:-). I set it to 200 Mw. Should be enough.
Correct URL is: http://www.citadel.nu/prive/WL500gp_1969_TW.zip
Forgot to mention the dir.
I found the country setting of my WL-500g Deluxe. It's set to Germany!!! still it's possible to put it into 1496 mW!!! (it was already set to that power.... strange)
Indeed strange, I couldn't get it apassed the 19 dB.
Germany is the standard setting it seems. I requested the expert (Oleg, the admin) for some info on the new WL500gP. It seems it differs somehwhat from teh WL500g.

I guess so. Besides some new features, there are also different settings.
My WL-500g Deluxe won't go over 255 mW power (also set to Germany instead of The Netherlands)
I take those Mw's with a grain of salt (korreltje zout versta je beter denk ik :-) )
