I want to setup a firewall so i am alboe to block the BT coming in or Out, Got Wl500B, Wl500G and Wl500G Deluxe,
clients are using Utorrent, Bitcomet, Azureus, Bitlord
I would like to get some help on this, can any one tell me, what port should i be blocking as clients use random ports
You should probably look for some QoS scripts that uses L7 filters, and use thoose filters to block the BT Traffic.
Anybody have skill with install Layer 7 on asus wl500? I research the all net but witout success. Is possible install Layer 7 on asus?
the simplest way is to block access to trackers with editing /etc/hosts on router and adding
127.0.0.1 some.tracker.com
127.0.0.1 another.tracker.com
This works if router is DNS.
good thing, but wath to do when i would block from 7:00 to 23:00 hours
use cron for dns swapping and use
killall -HUP dnsmasq
i have not find any "tracer.com", can you help me
i have fount this http://wiki.openwrt.org/MiniHowtos/QoSHowto?highlight=%28qos%29#head-b865aa71f6fb5a23525e9f5b8d67618480c06fb3, but this is for openwrt, and i use olegs firmware. can i use this?
yes. Use post-firewall script and look how to setup flashfs filesystem on http://wl500g.dyndns.org
i think is not so easy. openwrt heve patched kernel and layer7 filter installed, and when you have this all then you can modifi the post-firewall. without this is unnecessary remake it. can anyone modify this all for working on olegs firmware
i cannot change the /etc/hosts. when i change it, and then reboot the system my settings will be lost. pleas help.
For OpenWrt there are QoS scripts that uses Layer 7. Theese can be used for blocking traffic as well.

echo "/etc/hosts" >> /usr/local/.files

why is that, when i say anything from Layer7 the thread is closed, otherwise i recive nothing. nobody have skill with this on olegs firmware, or not exist layer7 filter to olegs firmware, or he will not answer

Afaik, we haven't closed any thread/topic from you about layer7...

OpenWRT uses OLSR (http://www.olsr.org) afaik for QoS and shaping traffic. Oleg's firmware comes with WonderShaper.
Don't know if WonderShaper (http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=752)is capable of Level7 filtering, which OLSR can do aparently....
If you need OLSR then I suggest you download the source and compile it for WL-500g (or try to retreive it from a OpenWRT repository).
here is an ipkg package for OpenWrt bringing QoS based on Layer7 :
http://downloads.openwrt.org/people/nbd/qos/qos-scripts_0.9.1-1_mipsel.ipk
but how can i install it

Get a precompiled version of OLSR for the WL-500g here (http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=2196) or here (http://wiki.wl500g.info/index.php/PrecompiledBinaries)
To add a ipkg repository to your config, take a look at this post (http://wl500g.info/showpost.php?p=12419&postcount=1).
Don't know if you can run binaries compiled for OpenWRT on Oleg's firmware without any problems... Guess you'll just have to try.
ok, but i have one problem, i manage 40 users with asus. when i begin traying other firmwares, or tray anything wath not work properly, is possible that i lost my connection. sorry but i can not permit this. therefore i need 100% functioning solutions.
