Hi guys!

Hope, someone can help me here. I got a confusing Problem with ma WL-500G:
I entered everything as it should be, but it doesn't connect through PPPoE. Only Information I get from syslog is this here:
Jan 1 01:10:35 pppd[94]: Timeout waiting for PADO packets
Jan 1 01:10:35 pppd[94]: Unable to complete PPPoE Discovery
Jan 1 01:10:35 pppd[94]: Exit.

And reason for the disconnected status is "Cable is not attached". It doesn't care, where i connect the cable: To a switch or directly to the Modem. The Switch/Modem/Router LEDs indicate Link, but the Asus doesn't connect. I'm using Firmware release 1.9.2.7-7c, but the current Asus firmware doesn't work either!

Don't know if I had the same problem as you or not. But I know I had problems with PPPoE until I set the WAN uplink speed to "AUTO". I normally like to set to manual 100Full, but for PPPoE set to "AUTO" and it worked.

Thx 4 your reply, but i also tried some settings with that connection speed. Neither Auto, nor any other setting worked für me :(
