Hello,

I already my question in the german "Keywelt forum", but so far nobody was able to give me an answer, so I try it here....hopefully somebody knows an answer.

I have following configuration:

D-Box ----> Cross Over cable--->Dlink DWL900 AP---->Wlan Router---->Inet

Which means I update my D-Box (Keys,Imageupdate..) via the Dlink AP and my NETGEAR WPN824 WLAN Router.

Now I bought a WL-HDD and the troubles started..... I tried to use the WL-HDD instead of the Dlink AP, in other words the WL-HDD should act as my new AP to communicate with the Internet and it should be possible to record movies from my d-box (newest oleg firmware is already on the WL-HDD)

But this doesn´t work, somebody told me its because my WLAN-Router (Netgear WPN824) doesn´t support the "WDS"-Mode (Wireless Distribution system). I checked the datasheet and this is true, this model doesn´t support this mode.

So I am thinking about a different solution:

.................................................. ..................... ---->Dlink AP--->Inet
D-Box---->Cross Over cable--->Ethernet Hub/Switch?--->WL-HDD

Does anyone know it this schematic would work?

thanks for help!!!!
