no cable attached

hi,
i have a problem.:(

I can´t connect to the internet.
On the mainsite of the router is written:"no cable attached"
but the cable is connected to the router!!!
I don´t have this problem with my old router, it connects immediately to the internet!!

i have the firmware from oleg installed.
It is no problem to connect to the router by lan or wlan.
also no problem to run the sambaserver.
only the connection to the wan in not possible!!!
i tried crossover and normal cable, but that brought no change!

has anyone an idea ??

Perhaps a problem between the modem and the router? Try setting the WAN port to 10 Mbs half duplex.
