I have used the tutorials from macsat.com http://www.macsat.com to set up an webserver on my usb-stick which is attached to my Asus router WL-500g.

I am able to see the index.htm file in my webbrowser. So it's working.

Now I want to add more webpages and change the index.htm file.

How do I do this? I tried to use putty (telnet client) and WinSCP but I don't know what to do.
I also made changes in the settings of the router (FTP is on, Samba is on, NFS server is on).
When I use WinCSP I get the following logfile:

Please who knows what am I doing wrong?

I just want to transfer webfiles from a windows-xp pc to the webserver.

you have several options.
if the stick is formated with fat you could just disconnect it from the router, connect to your pc and then transfer the files (probably to opt/share/www).
you will probably want to install vsftpd though -- see the site you mencioned for instructions.

I prefer to just use wget to retrieve the files, however, it involves running a web/ftp server in your computer and it becomes impratical to move many files without tar.

Your winscp log says you try to connect to Port 23, but scp is listening on 22 by default if I'm not mistaken. And you need to have dropbear (our another ssh daemon) running to connect through SCP. Telnetd will not do the job. (All as far as I know, I'm not THE expert.)
