I am not able to use USB Flash disk "DataTraveler 2.0 Rev: 6.16, 256MB".
I suceeded in partitioning and formating (after several attempts). But after restart the log is full of errors like:
kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
kernel: usb.c: USB device not responding, giving up (error=-145)
I suceeded with mount sometimes but I am not able to write data and the log is full of errors I/O error: ... , sector XXX
I am wondering what might be a problem because I saw that Kingston Data Travelar should be compatible. Any help would be highly appreciated.

I haven't got that problem, but I use the Kingston DataTraveler 256 MB too, but is works I can Save/Load, maybe you should try to reset your router. There's another USB-Stick at the other port, from 512 MB and that one works fine too. I hope that resetting your router will help you.

Reset causes that the USB stick is at least mounted. I can perform several I/O operations. I suceeded in installing httpd+php but after a whil it crashes - I/O erroros in log and reboot does not help... the Flash disk is not found and timeout is written into log. Reseting router (unplug and plug power cord) means that the USB stick is at least mounted but... I/O errors comes again.
Try to format your USB STICK, maybe that helps. (I hope so)
Hmm... it is formated, of course.. there are two primary partitions. First one formated as ext3 and second one is a swap. I reformated it couple of times but still no go...
Try it with one partition, maybe that helps. I have one partition and that works perfectly. By the way do you use Oleg? I forgot to say that you'll maybe should try FAT32, becouse ext 2 or 3 is Linux. (not that that should make the difference)
Have you disconnected anything else hanging on the USB port? Please try with only the USB stick connected.

Well, it is like that.
A - Cold reboot...
1) USB stick is found and mounted (both ext3 and swap)
2) I am able to perform several operations with it like mkdir, ipkg, etc. Sometimes create only 2 dirs, sometimes write couple of kilobytes.
3) It startst generate I/O filesystem errors followed by sector number where it fails. (Sorry I do not have snapshot of errors, I will post it later)
4) re-mounting is impossible.
5) in this state I perform B using reboot command...

B - Soft reboot
1) log contains errors like that:
kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
kernel: usb.c: USB device not responding, giving up (error=-145)
2) unable to mount it... :(
