Hi folks,

I've been reading on and on this forum but cannot find any sollution to my problem. I was hoping one of you can help me out.

I've been trying to set up my router with the oleg firmware which used to work. Afterwards I've been compiling my own firmware and installed this one. I suppose I shouldn't have done that.

My device does boot. The powerled is on, the wan port is connected (light is on too) and lan port 1 is connected (light on). The WLAN led is off.

Looking at ethereal I can see it has ip address 192.168.1.1. I know I am in the same range (192.168.1.10, same subnet too), and i can ping it sometimes:

Time-out bij opdracht.
Antwoord van 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 tijd=57 ms TTL=100
Time-out bij opdracht.
Antwoord van 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 tijd=1487 ms TTL=100
Antwoord van 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 tijd=1 ms TTL=100
Time-out bij opdracht.
Antwoord van 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 tijd=1413 ms TTL=100
Antwoord van 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 tijd=1 ms TTL=100
Time-out bij opdracht.
Antwoord van 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 tijd=1339 ms TTL=100
Antwoord van 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 tijd=1 ms TTL=100

("antwoord van" means "reply from")

I have flashed the firmware for 10 times now i think. It seems like the flashing works, since both the recovery tool and tftp.exe do not return any error. The device doesn't reboot after 80 seconds though (read this on the forum somewhere).

I'd really like this device to be up within 3 weeks because I'll be flying to the USA and need a Subversion server to connect to.

Thank you in advance for helping me out!

Oh btw: it keeps sending out gratitious ARP requests (to make sure no one else has the same IP address on the network). This doesn't smell normal to me. But then again... what does smell normal here :D
