How long does a Wl-500g need to boot?

Hi,

I am (still) thinking about buying a Wl-500g, which I would like to only turn on when needed.

For this reason I have 2 Questions:

1: How long does the device need to boot? My UsRobotics 9106 takes 28 seconds, which is good enough for me. Is that about how long the 500g takes also?

2: I have read in the following threads:

that the WL-500g DELUXE has problems powering up correctly after beeing deprived of power. Are similar issues known for the WL-500g?

In the german part of the forum just another guy reported having the problem of lost settings after power down on a 500g. One might start to think it really is a hardware problem.

please remember: thats not normal to loose any configuration options.
All setttings are stored in flash.
There is something wrong if it will happen !!!!

If you are satisfied with the boottime you will be happy with this device....
