Hi

I'm quite new to this wireless thing and just purchased a WL-500G Deluxe. Firmware 1.9.5.0 from Asus.

I have set my Authentication Method to WPA-PSK. WPA Encryption is set to TKIP.
Everything works fine unless i also set WEP Encryption. Using WEP encryption my iPaq can't connect.

Is there any reason why I also should enable WEP Encryption and set a passphrase.
So far I have it set to None and only use WPA-PSK (TKIP), but I'm a bit unsure how secure my wireless network is.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

WEP is only needed for compatibility with devices which does not support WPA-PSK. So, disable WEP for higher security.

Thanks a lot for the fast reply.

Makes me feel a bit safer :)
However.....I have searched everything now and can't seem to find a specific setting that should disable WEB. Shouldn't it be disable by default if I don't choose it??? I mean if I only choose:
Authentication Method: WPA-PSK
WPA Encryption: TKIP
WEP Encryption: None (all 4 wepkey boxes are empty)
