Bekijk de volledige versie : WL500gx always online?!?
Hey guys!
I've got the following problem:
My WL 500gx is always connected to the ISP.
I set the Idle Disconnect Time in seconds(option): to 180
Unfuturnately the router doesn't disconnect at any time.
I swiched off all connected pc's but it stays connected.
I'd like to know wether it is possible to get a automatical disconnect or not.

After there was no reply at all I tryed to use the original firmware 1.9.5.0 from asus. Now the router turns off the connection after 4 minutes as set in the options.
Is there maybe a service in the new 1.9.2.7-7 olegs firmware which need a connection to the internet?
maybe you have NTP turned on. this resets the clock on the router every 2 hours or so..
you can disable it in the IP/Misc settings
i allready tryed to do so and set the intervall of synchronization to 24 hours.
but no success...
but no success
Did you try checkbox IP Config -> WAN&LAN -> Idle Disconnect Time in seconds(option) -> Tx Only?
yes, tested it with and without this option
This feature works for sure, and probably in your case constant outbound traffic prevents disconnection.
Try to check Tx only option, shut down radio, disconnect all PC's from Asus and wait apropriate time. Then reconnect one PC and look through the log. There should be record like
Feb 5 21:46:21 pppd[85]: Terminating connection due to lack of activity.
yes, tested it with and without this option
Have you specified DNS servers manually?
@Snufkin
did so, but without any success
