help: first time setup, it asks for user and password

im setting up wl-hdd for the first time. after the initial steps, i then connected to it via \\wl-hdd\configuration. there are 2 files inside, CONFIGURATION.html and SHUTDOWN.html. i double-clicked the CONFIGURATION.html and it opened IE and then prompted for username and password. The manual doesnt say anything about user/passwd. Tried some combinations like root or admin, 1234, password, blank password, etc.. but it didnt work. Please help. Thanks in advance.

btw, im using buffalo wyr-g54 router and its ip address is 192.168.11.1 with dhcp enabled. my wl-hdd was given an ip 192.168.11.7 . does it has something to do with this? because in the manual, what i see is 192.168.1.xx whereas my network is 192.168.11.xx .

The default user name is <admin> and password is also <admin>. (Page 34 in the manual)

sjdigital thanks man thats a quick reply! yes it worked! my package didnt have the manual, only the quickstart guide. or probably because its in the cd? thanks for replying always to my query.

Don't know if the manual is on the CD - I downloaded mine from the ASUS web site.

It's a great device, but damnably difficult to set up - intuitive it ain't!
