I have a Wl-500g router, firmware version 1.9.5 (official).

My ethernet modem was set to 192.168.1.1, so i changed the wl-500g's address to 192.168.1.5.

Anyway, i cannot access my modem's configuration page at all. The modem works fine, but i just can't open that page. Is there a way to do it somehow?

I tried disconnecting the router and then accessing the configuration page of the modem (it works then) and changing its address but it stops working as soon as i connect the router.

Any help would be much appreciated, since i am a newbie.

Best regards,

gwl

Best regards,

so, you ethernet modem is connected to the WAN port right?
As it's on the same subnet as the router, try to connect it in a regular LAN port to configure it, and then connect it to the wan port when you're done.
(you might want to try to set the modem to a different subnet, like 192.168.2.x , but i'm not sure it'll work).

btw, did you need to clone the modem's mac address to the router?
