I run my WL-HDD as a client to my wireless network.
Although basically pleased with the box, I was disappointed by the transfer speed. I kept it in my living room next to where I sit with my laptop - the idea being that by constantly seeing it my wife and I would both remember to backup our key files to it.
Recently, and for various reasons, I moved it into our dining room and the speed has shot up (n fold). Most pleased! Now I have two wireless access points upstairs to give good coverage throughtout my house and what I perceive is that now the WL-HDD is connecting to the second AP and I'm on the first.
Anyone else seen such a speed up in similar circumstances?
