Hi,

I got a Assu WL 500g DeLuxe.

With FTP I get about 1,3 MBytes / sec transfer from or to my USB Harddisk.
With Samba I Get only about 125 KBytes / sec.

I read a lot about this item, but can anybody explain why I get this poor speed with Samba?

hmmm, can't help you, but I find it strange enough, since I reached about 700kByte/s with FTP, and 1,3MByte/s with samba. Maybe it has something to do with filesystem? I use an ext3 formatted usb stick.

Well,

I use a 160 GB Harddisk, 32 GB Fat32, the rest is Ext3
