hello out there,

last night, i had some fun with installing the php-enabled web-server (http://www.macsat.com/php_web.php) as described in macsats guide, so that my HDD is now mountet as /opt instead of /tmp/harddisk.
samba runs fine with the new mountpoint, since i've changed some paths in the configuration files...
but what do i have to do to get stupid-ftpd running on /opt? i cannot find any configuration-files (maybe, because i have no idea where to search? ). when i try to start stupid-ftpd manually, i get something like

Cannot find /tmp/stupid-ftpd.conf.
Make sure it's available.

i don't know what to do now!? where do i have to configure stupid-ftpd, so that it runs on /opt, when a harddisk is connected?

Well, Stupid-ftpd sets it's home directory to /tmp/harddisk. If there is no USB-DRIVE detected, ftpd will not start. You can start ftpd manually by making config-file (How to make it - search in google) and run it with -f <path to config> parameter (or -C, dont remember exactly).

why do you want to run stupid-ftp?
Why not run vsftp? Its much better, has many more features, is highly configurable.
A tutorial is available on the macsat website.
