WL-HDD as external WLAN-stick?

Hi all,

Is it possible to use the WL-HDD as a WLAN-stick on a windows-machine and extend the existing network from Windows? The goal is to use the WL-HDD as a router, so I can use the network attached to the windows-computer on my laptop:

Internet <-> windows <-USB-> WL-HDD <-WLAN-> laptop

If it would be possible to serve the drivers for the "wlan-usb-stick" directly from the WL-HDD, too, this would be great. And no, I don't want to do

Internet <-> HUB <-> ( WL-HDD | windows )

because this would mean carrying around even more stuff...

Replace <-USB-> with <-NETWORK CABLE->
and use OLEG's FirmWare for WL-HDD.

Hi,

well, I can imagine that the network-cable will work.

But the usb-connection would be useful for the most common case where you arrive somewhere and the user has just the cable-modem, his windows-box, and you'd like to use the internet, too. Then you can't just plug the network-cable, because then you'd need a hub... But if you could just plug the wl-hdd via the usb-port, then you'd have connectivity for your laptop through the wlan...

Well, it would be something like really-nice-but-not-necessary...
