Hi, I'm new in this forum and I'm not very "expert".
This is my problem.
I've a WL-500g, oleg firmware 1.9.2.7-5a, Windows XP Prof. SP2, with a Lacie 160Gb usb hd connected to the usb port as ftp server.
I' can use the usb hd very fine, without any problem in read and write.
Now I want to make a backup of some of my files into this hd but, microsoft backup and other backup utility don't permit me to select the usb hd or a folder in it like destination of the backup (microsoft backup seemd to accept the usb hd but don't show any of the folder present in the usb hd and if I click "save" it say me that it's impossible make backup in that position).
Can somebody help me?
Thanks

Have you mounted the usb disk under Windows (e.g. as drive 'Z'), or are you accessing it through 'My Network Places'?

I'm accessing it through "My Network Places"; I've tryed to mount disk under Windows but if I select the usb hd or one of its folder then the OK button become light grey and it's not possible click on it.

Seems to be a 'limitation' of the backup software to me. If you can create directorys and files normally using Windows explorer, but not able to access it through the backup software, it is the problem of the software.
