i have a problem with my Asus wl500g. I can't ssh it, so i thought the service was disabled, so i tryed to telnet it, but not possible ?? plz help ?§! :confused:
Did it work before? What have done since it is not running any more?

well, yeah. I uploaded some firmware. And now I can't telnet or SSH it anymore :(
And when I try to log in the gui, a screen is diplayed, about the wan cable is unplugged, but it isn't ?? wtf....
but yeah I could ssh and telnet to it before....

You have origiginal image from asus!?
use image from oleg and telnet will running!

I can ssh and telnet it from my LAN, but if I try from wan, let's say work, I can't ssh it.-.. help...

Hi, i was in the same problem with telnet to the router, with the org. firmware from asus... I think that it has to with - and only a guss - that OLEGs firmware is running Linux? Don't know but i certantly don't know anything nor any windows server that i can connect to with telnet... So.. Now i think i'll try the OLEG instead... thx for this topic.
