I did a typo when I was going to connect to my webcam, instead of typing 7776 I typed 7777 and ended up downloading a 27mb big .exe file named ckszd8sw-1.exe, I couldn't execute it though, wondering what could be inside.

Dunno, can you find the file somewhere on your usb storage?

Do you have a wide pipe to the internet (because they are interesting to hackers)?

Well I didn't have any memory connected to the router at this moment and I had also uploaded a new firmware. I couldn't do anything with the file though, wonder what it could be, I'll open it with a hexeditor later.

it's the datastream from the webcam..

Yeah, I thought so too, because it couldn't really store all that. But it got a filename and fixed size, that's what confused me.

I've got the same problème with both official 1.9.5.6 and Oleg's 1.9.2.7.
Only the refresh mode of the webcam seem to work well.
With ASUS firmware only black and white pictures were available, now since Friday 24th 2006 I'm able to whatch colored pictures, thank to Oleg's firmware!

When I activate de ActiveX mode and connect to the port 7777 then I get garbadge caracters on the browser window, I didn't let the data flow until it's end.

I would like to know if someone make it work in ActiveX mode?

My configuration is:
WL500g Deluxe (1.9.2.7-7c)
Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000

Thannk you for any help... I still parse all the post, I've reached page 24 so far and going to continue so I'll have a good point of vue of most popular problems...
