WL-500GX bootloader issues?

I just bought a WL-500GX with serial number starting 57 and hardware_version WL500gx-01-01-01-33. It only shows 16MB of RAM. Is it recommended to use the utilities in pmon.zip from Oleg's post of 09-03-2005 to get access to the 32MB? Does anyone know if there are some versions shipped that only have 16MB of physical RAM?

It any other information I can get from the case or NVRAM would help, let me know. Thanks.

Ok, that seemed to go well but I'm stuck on the last step. The RESET button on the back of the box doesn't seem work as it says in the manual. Is there a way to reset the NVRAM with a command?

I found the following commands:

mtd erase nvram
reboot
