I'm running firmware 1.9.4.0 with a parrallel printer and a USB hard drive.
The router continually reboots (minimum run time 10 mins, maximum 2 hours) and is expecially prone to do so when using the FP server.

Is this likely to be a hardware problem, or does anyone recognize it as a firmware / setup issue?

Thanks

Probably you power supply is dead. I had similar things with my wl500g.
Also, do you use external power supply for your HDD?

The HDD has a "two headed" USB cable, with the 2nd head in a powered hub.

I assume replacing your router fixed the problem?

Remove your hardisk and printer, and test then if it works.
Then add you step by step all your devices, and look when your AP become`s the problem.

No, I've bought new power supply, as my router is not covered by warranty anymore.

hi

i have the same problem (coninual rebooting)
is it possible to solve the problem with a bigger power supply with, for example, 3 ampere?

If you current powersupply is damaged (like my was), then yes.
