hello

i would like to know what Nat type Asus 500g runs.

as far as i have understand the folowing standards exist

Full cone
Restricted cone
Port Restricted cone
Symmetric

akording to
http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=stun

the reson for this inquriy is, i am working in a firm, that is trying to dewelop a voip phone.

so we need to make sure it can run on the different Nat types.

but the problem, almost all vendor says, our router supports NAT, but they do not know what nat type that is.

we have already found some router that runs symmetric NAT, but still need the other types.

best regards

Visit www.netfilter.org, it will give you an answer.
"Port Restricted Cone" most of the time, but this depends on the software configuration. So, if you use Virtual Server, then you got "Full Cone" for this port.
