I want to use my WL-HDD basically as a wireless NIC, but can't figure it out.
I'm using asus firmware 1.2.3.4 and have tried a number of different configurations but have been unable to see the internet on the pc wired to the WL-HDD.
The bridge options on the WL-HDD configuration page seem straightforward, but I'm not sure what to do about the interface and client mode pages. It should be on the same channel as the router, but what about the ssid? And on the bridge page it only lets me input the MAC address of the router, does it use the WEP settings from the interface page or the client page? And what should the wireless status page display when it is set up correctly, AP or infrastructure?
I've mostly been using static ip and dns settings, does dhcp make a difference?
