Hi,

I recently bought a WL500GX; in additional to the WL500G that I bought in 2004. I would like to bridge them together so that

WL500GX (Gateway mode): attach with a USB printer (print server) and a USB disk drive (for FTP and SAMDRA).

WL500G (AP mode): attachs with a Webcam

My question is

1. Would the above settings possible? Can I access the Webcam through LAN or Internet?

2. Can I attach a second printer (USB/Parallel) to WL500g and able to be accessed by everyone on the LAN?

If the above is possible, any special settings that I need to be aware of?

Thanks,

Justin :)

I have been sitting some hours working with bridging this two.
What i have know have is a WL500gx connected to internet in home gateway mode.
The Wl500g is connected as ethernet bridge. Wl500g gets ip from Wl500gx, but no more.. No computer gets ip throw W500G from WL500GX, i can't ping from wl500g to WL500gx or anywhere else.
WL500gx shows WL500g assoiated with mac, and dhcp release shows correct ip.

I'm running 1.9.2.7-6b on both, no encryptions, it wide open.
Anyone got a clue what i have done wrong ?

WL500gx
Home gateway mode
AP mode: Hybrid
connect ap: Yes
anon: yes
mac of wl500g
extended mode: AP or WDS

WL500g
Home gateway mode
AP mode: tried all fo them
connect ap: Yes
anon: no
mac of wl500gx
extended mode: ethernet bridge
DHCP server disable.
LAN IP: same as WL500GX gives WL500G
