Hi all,
During the setup of my of my wireless network, I have a couple of questions regarding WEP encryption:
1) Why does the router generate different keys in the four fields when 64bit encryption is chosen, but the same key in all four fields when 128bit encryption is chosen? Is it even secure with all keys generated by the same keyphrase, is it possible to get a backwards generator that converts a passphrase from a key?
Why are there four fields, when only one can be chosen? Is it only to make changing the keys becomes easier?
Thanks in advance,
René
