Avoid automatical connection on power-up

Hi there! A friend of mine, also a wl500g user, has this problem: his PPPoE ADSL has got a pay-by-connection-hours kind of contract. Of course she can connect to the control panel and press "connect/disconnect" at will, but the problem is: on power-on the PPPoE connection is automatically brought up, and so if there is a blackout, if the power cord si extracted by chance, if anything let the wl500g reset, it automatically connects, maybe without the direct knowledge of the fact, and the connection begins to draw more and more hours from the monthly limit... any simple way to avoid it?
It will need some fiddling the start-up scripts, I guess..?
