I have got Asus WL-500W.
I tried to change native firmware to dd-wrt (dd-wrt.v24_mega_generic.bin)
First of all, I changed network setting of my PC: ip-192.168.1.10, mask-255.255.255.0, gateway/dns - 192.168.1.1
What I did:
30/30/30
tftp -i 192.168.1.1 put C:\wl500g-clear-nvram.trx
wait 3 minutes
30/30/30
tftp -i 192.168.1.1 put C:\wl500g-recover.trx
wait 3 minutes
30/30/30
tftp -i 192.168.1.1 put C:\dd-wrt.v24_mini_asus.trx
wait 3 minutes
30/30/30
And my settings of native firmware were reseted, but there was no dd-wrt firmware.
I tryed to repeat the procedure, but it was the same result.
So then I did:
30/30/30
ASUS Utility\Firmware Restoration and choose "dd-wrt.v24_mini_asus.trx" firmware.
On the web-admin it was dd-wrt firmware, I changed username and password and upgraded dd-wrt.v24_mini_asus.trx to dd-wrt.v24_mega_generic.bin from web-admin.
But now it doesn`t ping, AIR (Wi-Fi) doesn`t work, and web-admin doesn`t work too.
I have read a lot of topics on the forum, so what I tryed to do:
FIRST - Reset by Reset button
1. unplug power cable
2. hold restore button for 30 seconds
3. release restore button
4. plug power cable
Result: Power indicator was blinking, but after I had connected lan-cable, Power indicator stopped blinking. lan indicator was lighted, but there was no ping, after 30 second lan indicator stopped to light, Asus Firmware Restoration didn`t find any devices.

4. release restore button after 10 seconds.
