Hello,
I have an ASUS wl-500g router and a laptop equiped with a Dell Truemobile 1300 mini-pci card. Both use the broadcom chipset.
My laptop is the only device on the wireless network and I have one PC attached to a wired ethernet port.
My question is, what is the best bandwidth I can hope ta achieve between the two PC's?
I would like to be able to play DV-quality AVI's across the network but I think that requires approx 28Mbit/s
I read somewhere that 802.11g can sustain upto approx 20Mbit/s but more if any 'turbo' modes are available and enabled.
What settings should I use for the router/1300 card to achieve the best possible bandwidth? Is there any hope of reaching 28Mbit/s?
Thanks,
Paul
