I see, btw, RT-N53 will be supported by our FW too.

For a multipurpose whole house AP, I've got my eye on the about to be released Asus RT-N53 dual band router
(reportedly 28 dBm (2.4 GHZ mode g/ 26 dBm mode n). The RT-N53 is Broadcom based using proprietary drivers.
Using the OEM fw should provide the 28 dBm in 2.4 GHZ. Whether the power will be maintained by 3rd party fw
remains to be seen. The FCC report was completed Sep 20, 2011. Asus seems to be fully committed to their
router product line and and fully involved in insuring that they perform as spec'ed and designed. Their fw is
adequate for most users. Broadcom based routers have a higher chance of success with 3rd party fw. I am
also looking forward to seeing the FCC specs for the much hyped RT-N66U. They are not as yet published

Планируется, но всё будет сильно зависить от Broadcom SDK. BCM5357/BCM5358 поддерживается только начиная с SDK 5.60 (уже доступен и планируем миграцию), BCM4706 поддерживается вроде только SDK 5.100 (GPL от ASUS пока еще нет), а про BCM47186 информации нет совсем.

Asus is getting ready to revamp its entire router product range and it seems like the company got really fond of its
"Black Diamond" series design as we're looking at no less than five new models based on the same overall design.

The best news of it all is that Asus is finally ready to launch the RT-N66U dual band router, but the design has changed
quite a bit since it was first shown way back at CES in January.

Asus' first router in the Black Diamond series was the RT-N56U, although it has very recently been joined by the RT-N53
which is Asus' second dual band router, although it's a much more basic model with only 2x2 MIMO, no simultaneous dual
band and no USB connectivity, although it's about half the price of the RT-N56U and it keeps the Gigabit switch.

Starting at the bottom of the new models we have the RT-N10 LX which is a basic 802.11n single antenna
150Mbps router with a standard 10/100Mbps switch and a mere 4MB of flash and 16MB of RAM.
Moving up a step we have the RT-N12 LX which gains 2x2 MIMO support which offers 300Mbps connectivity
speeds, but is otherwise near identical in terms of functionality to the RT-N10 LX.
Both of these models sit flat and have fixed external antennas unlike the other Black Diamond series routers.

Next up we have the RT-N15U and this model has a pair of PCB antennas and support for 300Mbps MIMO connectivity.
It also has a Gigabit switch, a Gigabit WAN port and a single USB port (although some specs we've seen is suggesting
it might have two) that supports storage devices and printers. It also sports a built in FTP server and supports UPnP AV.
The RT-N15U will likely replace the current RT-N16 over time.

Finally the top of the line model is the highly anticipated RT-N66U which initially was thought to be an Asus R.O.G. branded
router, but now that's expected to be the rumoured RT-N76U. The RT-N66U is a simultaneous dual band router with Gigabit
speed for the WAN and LAN ports, three detachable antennas that are used for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands and Wi-Fi
speeds of up to 450Mbps on both bands. It also sports two USB 2.0 ports which can be used with storage devices and printers.

Всем привет
Получил RT-N53, как амеры называют младший брат RT-N56U
Подключил PPPoE , повесил на стену, пока все работает,
проблемы пока только с IP TV нет UDP->HTTP прокси в прошивке, внутри была внутри 1.1.1.1.28, скаченной с асус 1.1.1.1.40,тоже нет, а без UDP->HTTP падают обе чистоты wi-fi

Продолжаю
Роутер все работает почти 2 месяца
к этому времени появился в продаже в России цена от 3000 руб
минусы пока
веб морда открывается криво, когда в настройках включены все логи. если логи отключить работает нормально
Репитер работает тоже кривовато обещали исправить , бросил его пока ,не нужен
IP-TV работает только по кабелю по WI-FI работает с затыками и рассыпанием (нет прокси)
По поводу UDP Proxy (Udpxy) написал в суппорт ответили, что включили Udpxy в новую прошивку которая появится скоро,

Да хоть сейчас, только 5Ghz работать не будет, оно на usb шине висит, соответственно требует спец. драйвер, которого пока нет


IP-TV работает только по кабелю по WI-FI работает с затыками и рассыпанием (нет прокси)
По поводу UDP Proxy (Udpxy) написал в суппорт ответили, что включили Udpxy в новую прошивку которая появится скоро
Штатные прошивки 1.x.x.x для него я б не рекомендовал использовать, как то там все невесело. А вот в 3.х.х.х стоит включить и EMF и WMF для IPTV

с неделю назад по поводу новой проши ответил

Штатные прошивки 1.x.x.x для него я б не рекомендовал использовать, как то там все невесело. А вот в 3.х.х.х стоит включить и EMF и WMF для IPTV

PS В новой FW_RT-N53_3.0.0.3_109d IPTV работает хорошо Udpxy не включал
EMF и WMF включил и не чего не сыплет не на 5G не 2.4G и порты Lan не падают на 111140 был просто мрак

есть отличные новости. после того как ASUS выпустил прошивки для закрытия
дыры в безопасности 3.0.0.4.376.3754, то теперь на моем моде:

1. работает 5G WiFi RT-N53
2. будут версии прошивок для 4Mb роутеров RT-N10P_V2, RT-N12, RT-N10D1

и так свершилось!!! pre-mod8 test build для роутеров c 4-х метровым флэшем

- RT-N10P_V2
- RT-N12
- RT-N10D1
- RT-N10+

ну и RT-N53 с рaбочим 5G WiFi

Снес дрова к wi fi адаптеру все заработало 5G
