speedbooster between 2 wl500g deluxe

Hi

I recently bought 2 wl500g deluxe. Haven't upgraded to the chupa firmware yet.
I also have a belkin f5d7231 (with speedbooster)

I've successfuly setup WDS between the routers, but I get (only) about 3.1 mByte/s (about 25mBits/2) peeks. (at 1 meter distance)

I've read somewhere that WDS is incompatible with afterburner/speedbooster. So I tried to setup one of the routers in station/bridge mode and the other in AP. But the link is still at the same speed. (both afterburner and frame burst activated)

Shouldn't afterburner working in client mode?
I don't have afterburner compatible wifi clients, Should I get more than 25 mBit/s with real clients?

Sorry if it has been discussed before, but I didn't find anything.

Have you used WEP/WPA? If so, try open system.

yes, the test I made is without encryption.

do you've non-afterburner capable wi-fi cards in the same network?

No

I've just setup a test with 2 wl500gd. There are no other wifi devices around.
