rcamd using 67% cpu and 9.8% ram

i do top from cli and using a very old creative webcam pro

even when idle (nobody accessing/viewing the webcam),
the rcamd always showed as running and using 67% cpu and 9.8% ram

webcam enabled on lan and wan, @320x240, activex&refresh.

i think, that is really bad.
is this normal?

even worse, when i'm viewing the webcam using any browser,
my ping raise to few thousands!!

any idea? how to fix this?

after running for an hour, i got this error in log:
Jun 20 11:17:45 kernel: ov51x.c: ERROR: urb->status=-79: Babble (bad cable?)

but, i can still see the webcam.

i use the webcam everyday with my yahoo messenger,
so, i think it's working ok.

any idea???

As for error - this is ok, as wl500g was busy with other tasks and missed usb packet.
As for CPU usage - this is fine too, as wl500g is damn slow, while JPEG processing requires some CPU time. And yes, due to bad design is works all the time, regardless of active/inactive clients.
