Bekijk de volledige versie : Samba Problem
hello,
i installed the samba, but in the samba log I found this entry a lot of times:
get_smbpwd_entry: unable to open file /etc/smbpasswd
What can i do?
I used macsat's Guide to set up the Samba.
Hi
So far I have mostly used user : nobody , since I mainly use SAMBA for streaming movies and music to my xbox.
The problem you describe must have something to do with authorization of "real" samba users....
I will look into it !
You can, however, connect as nobody, and you shouldnt have a problm then.
macsat.
When i connect to the \\192.168.1.20 I can see the Folders.
But i can not write.
AND (the biggest Problem)
I can't see the router in the "Network Environment" from Windows.
(In German called "Netzwerkumgebung".)
When typing ps I can's see nmbd working.
Is this the Problem?
nmbd
This daemon handles all name registration and resolution requests. It is the primary vehicle involved in network browsing. It handles all UDP based protocols. The nmbd daemon should be the first command started as part of the Samba start-up process.
[wl500@wl500 root]$ cat /var/log/nmb
cat: /var/log/nmb: No such file or directory
Hi Macsat!
Did you find a solution?
Hello,
is there anybody who could get the Samba running?
Hi
I am still storage-less since my USB harddrive crashed...
Hopefully it wont be too long before I have found the cash to buy a new drive, so I can get back on track with writing tutorials :-)
