I have recently flashed my WL-500Gx with the Oleg 1927 5a... and everything seemed fine at the start. My router started to give me IP-addresses from my ISP-network (WL-router is connected to another router and get its IP-adr by DHCP). The normal scope in the WL-router lan is 192.168.1.x and I suddenly have 10.169.x.x (from ISP-lan).
Another problem is now, that I can't get in touch with the web-based configuration on the WL-router... and I don't know its IP-address for using with a static-IP'ed computer and the Firmware restoration-tool..
What to do?
Please help...

Have you updated/checked bootloader?
Nope.. tried to do it, but it times out.
Situation:
-Win XP PC with static IP 192.168.1.2 Subnet: 255.255.255.0
-The one and only ethernet NIC is connected to WL-500Gx (in LAN1 port).
-The WL 500Gx is in Firmware Restoration Mode (blinking PWR-led)
-Kicks off the burnboot.exe and selects the pmon.bin file
-After pressing OK button and stuff the Error: Timed Out! message appears
-The WL stays in Firmware Restoration Mode.
Any suggestions?

did you disconnect WAN ?

You've to disable IEEE1394 or whatever you've in the Network connections. This is the only reason. Also, disable your PC firewall too.
I tried everything but nothing seemed to work on this unit. I brought it back to the vendor for a swap to a new unit. Now it works - but do I dare to upgrade its firmware ? :-)
The new unit is one from the 53-series (the starting cifres of the serialnumber).
You mentioned someting about the bootloader.... Can't I just upgrade to the 1927-5 firmware directly?
