Hi there,

It's a long time since I visited the forums for the last time, as my good WL-500gP was kept away for a few years. But recently I've decided to put it to good use in my mother's house!

I've followed the general tutorial from...

http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=10307

... as well as the Squid tutorial from:

http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=17287

My objective is to use the router as a proxy, both internally and externally (through an SSH tunnel, as described in http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=20688).

I have external SSH access through NAT, using a Virtual Server. The problem is that this access only lasts for a few seconds after boot! If I manage to log-in in that time window, I am able to keep the session on for as long as I want. As soon as I log-out, I'm not able to log-in again... The client times-out.

Does any of you have a clue of what might be going one?

Thank you a lot for your attention, regards,

AP

in the basic firewall settings: "Enable Brute Force Protection for SSH"
might be blocking your connection.

you can decrease it's sensitivity by entering a higher hitcount:)
