hi guys,

It is a very simple thing but i dont know why i am not able to do this. I have Asus router WL 500G. I am trying to get access by using telnet, but connection is refusing.

command: telnet [ipaddress]
connection refusal

please, tell me do i need to configure any thing in router to accept telnet or what.

Whick firmware dou you have ?
with OLEG Firmware
If you are on your LAN, the IP address is by default 192.168.1.1

There is no telnet server running on the stock ASUS firmware.

You have to run Olegs firmware in order to use telnet.

my ip adress is 10.10.10.10 (i adjusted according to my subnet requirnment)
firmware version is 1.8.1.9

Change firmware to 1.9.2.7 CR5 (non-official firmware). It has telnet by default enable for LAN connections.

You can find it in the Firmware section.
