Can somebody help me with the new firmware for the WL-500B, I can only find it for the G version...but I need it as well, because I have some difficulties with VPN and hanging of the router after 700MB dataexchange...will somebody help me?!?!:(

You may use the G version, but first download you must in recovery mode.

What do you mean by you must in recovery mode? I tried before to upload the G version...without any succes....wrong firmware version...
that is why you need recovery mode

Oke I tried...but without any result..I'm a newbie to this...but maybe somebody can help me..the only thing is ...I want to login to our VPN without any problems...and maybe some better firewall (I have had an Sweex (not wireless) before...and this unit get with www.grc.com all ports on Stealth mode!!)

Not yet (the latest customized version). AFAIK I am still running 1.6.5.3-2 on my WL-500b. The only reason is that I don't want to turn down the router as it works perfectly for 43 days in client mode (and the router even survived 2 half-second power outages). :)

Currently I have a WL-500g as well (running 1.7.5.6-2) ;)

Yes before i make my own firmware, i tried the 1.7.6-2 from Oleg without problem, on my WL500b. But I'm now very busy ( it's normal for las two years :( ) and I will not post before Saturday.

Done it..it works...thanks for your help....are there some new things in this firmware wich are usefull to WL-500b users?
