wl-500g power led continuously off

Hi,

After a successful upgrade and reboot the power led on my Asus is off . What means that? is it bricked? I think it's not the power supply, because I tried the power supply with a working Asus router. The Lan ports works as ethernet switch ports.

Hi netop,

i went through the same problem as you. when i got my router (witch was used) the power led only lighted up a few seconds on inicialization, then it turned off.

It was because it had a firmware for a different version (wl 500gp). Once i flashed it to a firmware to the correct version (wl 500g) it worked just fine.
