Hi,

Would it be possible to connect two printers to the Wl500g USB port using a passive hub?

In this case how the system can distinguish the 2 printers?
i.e. during the printer installation on a computer you have to refer to the ip 192.168.1.1 that will be the same for both printers?

I am using the orginal ASUS firmware and I cannot install any custom firmware

Qhat if I connect one printer to the Wl500g USB port and another printer on the print server (parallel) port on the wl500g?
Will both two printers work with the ASUS firmware?

Thanks

No, that doesn't work with Asus official firmware too. But it works with unofficial firmwares from Oleg. See the firmware download section for more info.

I have a WL-500g with Olegs custom firmware (1.9.2.7-5a). Will it be possible for ME to connect more than one printer to the USB port with a powered USB hub?

No, AFAIK Oleg's firmware only supports 2 printers when one is connected to LPT and the other to USB.

Yes, is working!
Must add plus command to /tmp/local/sbin/post-boot
"p910nd -f /dev/usb/lp1 1"

Warning! Must enable FLASHFS!

How do I set the port number? I can't have two printers at the same port...

p910nd -f /dev/usb/lp1 2

would do, 2 stands for port 9102

lp1 for the second usb device, but beware while booting it is possible that one or another usb printer get's recognized first
