hii all,
i'm wondering whether wl-hdd can use as wireless ethernet bridge?
i'm planning to hook xbox as ethenet bridge and at the same time
be able to access wl-hdd harddisk wirelessly ....
if this possible, which firmware version can do that?
thank's in advance ....

i am also trying to setup wl-hdd as wlan ethernet bridge for my xbox. The wl-hdd is set to hybrid mode. Access point should be a zyxel 334w, but he is only acting as switch. Internet connection is made by a virtual machine with ipcop (because the zyxel dies with too many nat sessions :)).
Maybe somebody can give us a hint?
Thanks!

Have you assigned LAN Hostname?

yes, hostname is set - without hostname i cannot see the share and the files...
in the smb log i have a strange error like "chdir() failed in unbecome_user"...
after many tries, it seems that it is working, when i enable it the first time (reset to defaults) and it stops working when i reboot the wlhdd.

I guess you have misconfigured your smb.conf

I guess you have specified the wrong path or the
force user = <user> command is missed.

Also you have to check if your samba deamon is started in your post-boot
