good news. Have you noticed the RAW port type in the Windows settings and the port 9100 as default? I've finally found the GPLed solution for printing, which is really useful. p910nd (http://etherboot.sourceforge.net/p910nd/) daemon provides Socket API aka JetDirect interface for printing from Windows and many unices. It's pretty small and clear. With minimal patching this thing could be incorporated to wl-500g and we can wipe out buggy ASUS lpd stuff. Also, it's become possible to use multiple printers - say lpt & usb at the same time.
And the question: do we need this? :)
