Guys,
good news. Have you noticed the RAW port type in the Windows settings and the port 9100 as default? I've finally found the GPLed solution for printing, which is really useful. p910nd (http://etherboot.sourceforge.net/p910nd/) daemon provides Socket API aka JetDirect interface for printing from Windows and many unices. It's pretty small and clear. With minimal patching this thing could be incorporated to wl-500g and we can wipe out buggy ASUS lpd stuff. Also, it's become possible to use multiple printers - say lpt & usb at the same time.
And the question: do we need this? :)

Yes, of couse.
Hope that will let wl-500g support laser printer....

This would be great :D, because for me it sometime worked and sometimes not. I can't find why this is happening in my enviroment.
So I decided to go back to direct connetion :-((

But we also need a good howto on 'howto add packages to the firmware' ourselves. Because we can leave it all to you, which is of course a very thankfull job :p, but I want to be able to do it myself too...
