Hi there
I hope that someone can help me.
Yesterday i bought a WL-500G deluxe and after a night without much sleep im about to give up.

I can not figure out how to use the WL500G as an Access Point.

My setup is as follows:
I have a Linskys RV082 that sits on my ADSL connection ( dunning DHCP scope 192.168.1.100->200. On the inside of the linksys i would like to use the WL500G as Accesspoint. I have tried to use the operationmode->Accesspoint configururation but when i connect to the laptop i get an ip 192.168.1.245 and no default gateway.

Firmware version on the WL is 1.9.4.0

Could anyone please tell me step by step how to use the wl as an ap ?

Best regards

Hi Antiloop

After playing around this afternoon. I now dont get an Ip adress at all.

Here is what i have done to configure the WL500.

1. reset to factory default
2. Selected the system setup->operation mode ->Accesspoint
3. Configured the AP to have:
a static ip 192.168.1.3- 255.255.255.0
DNS 192.168.1.1
Gateway 192.168.1.1 (which is my Linksys RV080 router, who acts as dhcp server and dns server aswell)

When the WL500 is configured this way there is no tab where i can enable/disable DHCP

according to the user guide this shoud be it.

I have also tried just to configure the WL500 to have a dynamic IP .no change in behaviour.

Any Ideas are very welcome..

Best regards
Jess

Hi all
Just to tell you that the problem is solved.

The reason was that i used spaces in my wep pwd..
Removing the spaces and everything works like a charm.
