don't auto-mount specific USB storage?

I have a ipod and I want to use the USB hub connected on my WL500gp to charge it with his USB cable.
Is it possible to prevent the ipod to be automatically mounted?

Maybe use a special usb cable that only has pin1 and pin4 (thus no datalines)

With a full linux distribution, it's possible by define udev rules...
But udev is missing in oleg firmware
