hdd speed & transmision & ftp problem

Hi! yesterday i bought the Asus wl-500g Premium V2, today i flashed oleg 1.9.2.7-10 firmware. I installed evertything using this tutorial

everything works, my internet connection, shares, ftp, transmission, everything is fine. BUT when i copy the files to the disk which is plugged to my router now the speed is maximum of 3MB, how can i fix this?

And when im at it, how can i connect to Transmission from internet using login? (i have a static ip)

And finaly, is there any tutorial how can i set up the ftp server for multiple users? i mean one has acces to fotos, one has acces to some work files, some read, some write... Is there some kind of GUI? or is it done via SSH?

3MB/sec is a normal speed for the asus. (ftp) There is nothing you can do about it.

I think you need 'transmission-remote'. search the forum..

vsftpd is the most common used ftp server. No gui for ftp.

You can use winscp to manage files on the asus.
