Hi, has anyone some experiencies with building gentoo based firmware for 500GD?
It's possible to install current uClibc based gentoo into chrooted location (pretty the same way as with debian). For glibc, there is much more work needed, as gentoo isn't supporting glibc stages on anything lower than mips3. It's possible to build gentoo from scratch for this machine, but you'll have to crosscompile few packages on x86 (or anything else you have nearby) as there is not enough onboard memory.
